McDermott Pool Cues and Shafts

Founded in 1975, McDermott Cue has become one of the most recognized American names in billiards. The company builds its main McDermott pool cues in Menomonee Falls, Wisconsin. Its craftspeople combine selected woods, detailed inlays and modern shaft technology to create equipment for many playing styles.

Each cue passes through more than 150 production steps. McDermott also uses kiln-dried North American Hard Rock Maple for its wood shafts. The company turns the shaft wood several times during production to improve strength and stability.

McDermott Performance Shafts

Choosing the right shaft can change how a cue feels and responds. Therefore, McDermott offers both traditional wood and modern technology options.

The G-Core shaft combines a maple exterior with a carbon-fiber core. As a result, it keeps much of the familiar wood feel while improving stability. The i-Pro and i-Pro Slim use radial maple construction for more even performance around the shaft.

Meanwhile, the Defy shaft uses carbon-fiber construction. It aims to reduce cue-ball deflection while maintaining a soft, quiet hit. The available shaft types and diameters allow players to compare feel, stiffness and sighting preferences.

Break and Jump Equipment

McDermott also produces equipment for powerful specialty shots. Stinger cues use a patented tip-and-ferrule design that directs force toward the center of the shaft. Consequently, these cues support both break and jump shots.

The Sledgehammer focuses on breaking, while newer carbon-fiber models expand the company’s performance range. Players can also find dedicated jump cues and replacement specialty shafts.

McDermott Lifetime Warranty

McDermott provides a lifetime warranty against defects in materials and workmanship, including warpage. Coverage applies to the original owner when the cue comes from an authorized dealer. The customer must also provide the original sales receipt.

However, the warranty does not cover normal wear, poor handling, misuse, third-party modifications or damage from extreme heat or humidity. Cue tips, finishes, wraps and bumpers count as wearable components.

Whether you prefer a traditional maple cue or modern carbon-fiber technology, McDermott pool cues provide many options. Browse our available cues and shafts to find the right design, feel and performance level for your game.
